The company had our annual department team building / retreat last week on the island of Langkawi. As a Malaysian; I've never been to any other island in Malaysia except Penang; though we have dozens of them here. However, it's better to start some where, so Langkawi is the start of many other island visits around Malaysia.
We were housed at the Meritus Pelangi Beach Resort which is about a stone throw's distance from the airport. The beach was fantastic; a quiet private beach with very few people on it. But the resort grounds was huge and pretty confusing since all the hotel rooms were housed in chalets and they all look similar.
Any how it was a good break away from the office for 3 days; consider it a mini holiday paid for by the company. along the trip was the department's annual dinner as well. I've attached a couple of interesting photograph's I took through out the trip. More of them on facebook as usual.
The next adventure would take me to Phnom Penh in slightly over 3 weeks for a mission trip over Christmas. I've not prepared for it yet; both physically and mentally, but I trust in God's providence that He will equip me.
